Dae-Ho Lee decided to come out for me tonight just like I predicted he would do. Earlier in the month he hit a homer off of the Rays starting pitcher Drew Smyly. This was the fifth time the dude hit a homer this season. On top of that he has an on-base average of over 60%. That’s the type of dependability that I talk about in my lineups all of the time. You need to be able to effectively determine if an individual will present a good return for you. There are obviously countless statistics that you can do this with.
However one that I love to see is, again, on-base percentage. Not a lot of people are talking about it in the community because batting average and Pt/$ are more “important.” If you notice that everyone else is focusing on a certain set of statistics, there is probably an opportunity to look in other areas and dominate the leagues that you play in.
I am looking for Lee to continue to do good things, but I am going to stay away from him after tonight for the next two weeks due to a trend that I noticed. Obviously, I am not going to tell you what that is. Remember to keep an eye out when you are playing. I made easy money today because I was able to notice it.
