How to Change Your Life With Complaining

My lifestyle and the stuff I talk about on this site are not for everyone. I recognize that and accept it for what it is. But, there’s also nothing wrong with that either. The real issue arises when you realize the role that complaining plays in most people’s lives.

If you have read my article on What Success Actually Looks Like, you know what was holding me back in life and how I was able to make a switch that changed everything. However, realize that before I made that happen, my life was filled with constant complaining.

For anything that happened in my day to day life, I was constantly thinking about why I either didn’t want to be there or why I didn’t want to be doing something. It was a miserable existence and every single one of you out there knows exactly what I am talking about. Most people hate their jobs so that is an easy example to throw out there.

However, complaining was only bad because I wasn’t actually doing anything to change. If you are constantly complaining, yet you aren’t making a change in your lifestyle or actively working to make a difference in your situation, you are doing yourself a disservice. Look, not everybody has to live a lifestyle like mine. A lot of people will be happy with the 9 to 5 lifestyle. They will be content with going home to their wife and kids after a long day of work. They will be fine with taking one vacation every year and driving around in a pre-owned Honda Civic. That’s okay. Honestly, I wish that was all that it took for me to be happy and fulfilled. If it was, my life would be so much simpler.

But, it’s not. I want to maximize my lifestyle and get everything I can out of life. I want to make the absolute most of every single day and grind my way to the top. I want the kind of money that makes no sense. I don’t want it so that I can buy nice cars and live in nice homes, though those are things that I do enjoy. I want it so that I can have the freedom to go wherever I want to go and do whatever I want to do. I want to be able to look anyone in the face and sincerely be able to tell them that I don’t need them.

If you aren’t content with your life, and you are complaining, and you aren’t doing anything to change your life, you are doing yourself a huge disservice. All that is happening is that you are further solidifying your negative behaviors and making it that much harder for you to make the switch when the time comes.

If you are a chronic complainer, call it for what it is. I used to be there. Looking back, it was a sad way to live life. But I learned, and now I am stronger, and you will be too once you make the conscious decision to start aggressively pursuing what you want in life. Want to build a business? Stop thinking about it and take action. Want to get the body of your dreams? Stop talking about it and actually go to the gym. There will be a clear difference between what you used to do and what you are doing once you start taking action, and the results will show.

Realize that if you want to get something out of life, it is open to you. I am not about being realistic. You can save your realism while I stack money and live a baller lifestyle. You can save your complaining and negativity while I travel the world and hang out with the smartest, most successful people I can find to fill my friend group with.

The opportunity is at your fingertips. You now know the evil being complaining, but you also know how you can channel that negative energy into a constructive pursuit that will take your life to the next level where you can dominate and start living a life of your own design where you make the moves and you call the shots.

Either become satisfied with what you currently have (which is probably not the case if you are on this site in the first place; clearly you want to become a winner) or stop complaining and start using your efforts to take real action towards your goals. The choice is yours, but it is already made for you. You know what you need to do, so just do it.

Awesome point of view. I think it aligns pretty heavily with what Gary V talks about.
